Construction Diary (27th November 2014)

Dear Diary

Today we carried on with the editing of our horror trailer. We also worked a bit on our ancillary tasks. The editing for the horror trailer is very hard as there is a lot of little bit to put in and with have not filmed all of our scenes yet. Anyway today we have done quite a lot of editing and we think that we could have a first draft by next week.

Construction Diary (20th November 2014)

Today as a group we started editing our horror trailer. We did realised that some of our shooting needed redoing as the image were to dakr and buzzy.

Dolby

L'Viany. I like how you have shown the improvements and the technical processes you have been through to improve your advert. Can you maybe reflect on how and why the version you created is better? Could you get audience feedback on the drafts and see which ones others prefer?

Construction Diary (13th November 2014)

Today I started a second draft for my poster. The first thing that I did was to edit another image to see if it is better than the first one:

I first took out the backgournd

I then played around a bit with the colors.

I then played around with the lighting and contrast to make the image darker

I then added shadows around the image in order to make the edges darker

I then added highlight around it to make the edges even darker

Once the image was done and everything was in place this is how the second poster looked like:

Improvement of Reasearch and Planning

When I got my feedback I was told that some of my analysis were a bit vague and that I needed to go back to it in order to make it more specific. I also had some work missing that I had to add to my research and planning. So since last Tuesday I changed some bits of my work:

* I went back to the `Representation to our trailer` and I made the analysis more specific by talking more about representation rather than target audience. I also added more information on how we as a group  are going to represent our social group in our trailer.

* I then went back to my Oculus trailer analysis to add some more information. The first thing that I did was to watch the trailer again and I then noticed that I had missed some good examples of editing. mise-en-scene and camera shots.

* I also went back to my poster analysis and added more information on how the colours, layout, composition produces a good front cover website and how these affect the audience view on seeing the movie.
* I then added the storyboard and the shooting schedule on there to make my research and planning complete.

The final thing that I then did just in case was to go back to all of my analysis and read them all to check any mistakes or sentences that might not make sense.

Construction Diary (November 7th 2014)

Today I started planning my ancillary tasks. I though it would be easier to start with the poster as it is pretty simple to do. The first thing that I did was to write where everything was going to go on the page:

From this plan I started doing the first example of my poster, first of all I edited the picture that I was going to be using:

I first started by taking out the background of the image

I then played around with the color balance

After this I played around with the brightness and contrast in order to make the image look a bit darker

I then went around the edges and toned them with shadows in order to make the image blend in with the black background

I then went over the tone shadow with highlights to make the edges of the image even darker

At the end of all of this is how my first example poster looked like once it was finished:

The picture on this poster is not the real picture that I am going to be using for my real one.

Next time I am going to carry on with making different examples of my poster using different pictures.
